Investors who are tax-resident in the UK will need to submit a self-assessment tax return to HMRC, even if their taxable gains are below the tax-free capital gain threshold (failure to do so may result in a penalty of £100 or more from HMRC). AxiaFunder does not provide tax advice but please get in touch if you have any questions and we may be able to assist. In addition all investors are required to confirm where they are tax-resident and to provide a Tax Identification Number (TIN) for the relevant tax jurisdiction. AxiaFunder is required to provide this information, for overseas investors, to HMRC under the Common Reporting Standards (CRS) regulations, in addition to reporting any gains and losses each overseas investor has had in each calendar year and the holding value of their ongoing investments at the end of the calendar year.
